Setting the Stage
I recently had the privilege of attending CTTT25 in the historic yet forward-looking city of Tallinn, Estonia. Not only was I an attendee, but I also had the opportunity to speak. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this event was at the cutting edge of today’s strategic tech discussions, bringing together a global community of leaders focused on cybersecurity, digital transformation, AI, and data protection.

Highlighting My Talk
During my session, I dove deep into Security, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and best practices for securing digital estates—whether on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid environments. We explored emerging strategies around Zero Trust frameworks and how businesses can leverage AI-driven insights to proactively identify vulnerabilities. The intense focus on cyber resilience and data governance underscored how crucial it is for organizations to safeguard their information in a world where threats continue to evolve—and sometimes are even enabled by the same AI technologies meant to protect us.
Addressing GenAI and Data Security
A major theme that resonated with nearly everyone I spoke to was the rise of Generative AI (GenAI) and its influence on cybersecurity and data strategies. GenAI can streamline threat detection, automate response protocols, and even predict potential attack vectors. However, it also raises critical questions about data security and privacy, particularly when sensitive information is used to train AI models. We discussed regulatory compliance concerns, encryption best practices, and the importance of ethical guidelines for AI development.
Connecting with the Community
One of the most valuable takeaways from CTTT25 was the chance to engage with fellow leaders, innovators, and strategists. Whether it was connecting with colleagues I hadn’t seen in years, or meeting new peers exploring everything from cloud-native DevOps to AI-driven penetration testing, the community spirit was palpable. Coffee breaks and roundtable discussions were prime opportunities to share experiences, discuss business impact, and form potential partnerships aimed at elevating cybersecurity measures across different sectors.
Discovering Tallinn
When I wasn’t immersed in the conference, Tallinn itself served as an inspiring backdrop. The medieval Old Town stood in fascinating contrast to the city’s cutting-edge tech scene—a fitting metaphor for the balance between traditional, foundational security measures and the need to embrace innovation. Taking a stroll down the cobblestone streets felt like traveling back in time, yet the city’s modern atmosphere reminded me how quickly technology—and threats—can evolve.
Looking Ahead
Overall, CTTT25 was a compelling experience that emphasized the intersection of business strategy, emerging technologies, and robust cybersecurity practices. The sessions and conversations reinforced the idea that effective security in the age of GenAI demands a blend of technical know-how, strategic planning, and cross-industry collaboration.
I’m excited to see what next year’s event will bring—particularly as GenAI continues to disrupt the security landscape. If you work in security, IT infrastructure, data governance, or any adjacent field, keep an eye out for CTTT conferences in the future. The chance to learn, network, and strategize in a city like Tallinn is an unmissable opportunity to stay ahead in an ever-changing digital world!
