Spirhed is taking the stage at Microsoft Ignite 2025 in San Francisco, 18–21 November.

Our Jan-Tore Pedersen (Microsoft MVP) will deliver theatre session THR834 on moving workloads from VMware/Hyper-V to Azure Local (Arc-enabled) using Azure Migrate—with minimal downtime and no third-party license costs for the tooling.

I’m thrilled to represent Spirhed at Microsoft Ignite and share how we simplify hybrid migrations for our customers,” says Jan-Tore Pedersen.

What you’ll learn in THR834

Jan-Tore will walk through a practical, end-to-end migration to Azure Local using Azure Migrate, with minimal downtime and no third-party licence costs for the tooling. You’ll see how to:

  • Configure and prepare an Azure Migrate project correctly from the start
  • Deploy and validate the Azure Migrate Appliance
  • Enable sync, plan the cutover, and execute with minimal downtime
  • Prove success with simple guardrails: rollback plan, KPIs, and runbook
  • Operate Azure Local (Arc-enabled) using Azure Arc for unified governance, updates, security, and monitoring across on-prem and edge

All of it focused on modernising workloads and strengthening hybrid governance across IT and OT.

Why Ignite matters (and not just to us)

Ignite brings product teams, experts, and decision-makers into the same room, accelerating what actually ships and how quickly you can benefit from it back home. This year’s themes is AI, hybrid cloud, and security; map directly to Spirhed’s mission to make hybrid IT/OT environments agile, secure, and resilient.
